1st August 2020 Saturday Update on Zara’s Nikah Update: Kabir says to Zara that why did you involve yourself in this matter? its dangerous. Zara says its a small injury and I am not involving but working for women’s rights. Ayesha says lets discuss it later. Miraj stops Nilofar and asks what drama she is doing? Nilofar says ask the person whom you sent behind me. Kabir is going to mosque, Zara says one minute, I am going with you. Kabir says no. Zara says you dont want me to go or you cant take me? its women right to offer prayers. Kabir says there is no place for women in mosque. Zara says if there was place there then you would have let me go? Kabir glares at her and says never. He leaves from there. Zara takes her burqa and goes.
Kabir is offering prayers in mosque with other men. Zara comes inside with her women. They put a curtain to create separation from men. Kabir is stunned to see her. All men look on. Zara says to Kabir that now women have entry and partition in this mosque, I dont think anyone should have an issue now. Zara offers prayers with women in mosque. Men ask Kabir what is happening here? you are vice priest, stop them, Kabir says they are offering prayers so we cant disturb them. Man asks if he is silent because its his wife? Kabir says they are praying to God, we can discuss all this later. Zara completes her prayers. All men leave from there. Zara is happy.
Zara is leaving with women from mosque when priests stop them. Kabir comes there. Priest says your wife didnt do right, women dont have place in mosques. Zara says islam give us right to have place in mosque. Kabir says she is just saying that, we dont have to change traditions. Zara says yes its important to change them. All men start shouting. Kabir asks Zara to take women from there, men are getting angry. One priest says you are head priest’s daughter so we didnt do anything but we wont let you enter mosque again. Zara says mosque is not your personal property, we can go there when we want. Kabir says we are stretching this matter, I understand that women can spoil mosque environment, sharia board will take decision on it tomorrow. All men leave. Media gathers around Kabir and Zara. They ask Kabir what he has to say about mosque issue? does islam allow women to pray in mosque? Kabir holds Zara’s arm and is tensed.
Zeenat gets Shahbaz’s call and turns on TV. Zara says to reporter that praying in mosque is our right and no one can take it away, Kabir says lets wait till tomorrow. He drags Zara from there. He pulls Zara aside, glares at her and leaves. On Tv, reporter says that Zara led women team to offer prayers in mosque today. Ayesha sees Zara and Kabir on TV, Zara giving statement that they have the right to pray.
News talk shows start arguing over the matter. One priest on show says that mosque environment will tarnish when women enter there, other woman priest says that Zara’s thoughts are revolutionary. Irfan and Salma watches TV. Irfan says our Zara have been passionate since start. Salma says why did she go to mosque? I never went there but your daughter has to put herself in every matter, she is married so she shouldnt be worrying about all this but her house, let men handle those issues.
Kabir comes home. Ayesha asks if he is alone? where is Zara? Kabir goes to his room and locks it, he throws away chair and is angry. He sits down and thinks.
Zara comes home, Alina says we saw that you offered prayers in mosque. Zara looks on and answers if Kabir is home? Alina says yes but he is very angry. Ayesha says thanks a lot Zara for doing this, for fighting foe women’s rights, we kept thinking about it but you have done it, I am proud of you, she gets emotional and says I worry about you, Zara smiles at her. Ayesha prays for her and kisses her hand. Zara hugs her and thanks her. Zara goes from there.
Scene 2
Zara comes to Kabir and asks why he is against this, its allowed in Islam. Kabir says I will never support this. Zara says you want to debate with me? Kabir says I just want to tell you that men make women’s life, they give them a good lifestyle and things so you all should respect them and should back out of this. Zara recalls how she promised women that they will not back out because of men’s pressure. Zara says no I promised women of this city to be with them and give them the right which men took from them. Kabir gets angry, he grabs her hand and pulls her to lounge.
Alina asks Ayesha if she ever offered prayers in mosque? Ayesha says no it was not allowed in our days. Kabir brings Zara there, he makes her sit in car. Ayesha asks where he is taking her? Kabir doesnt listen to her and drives away. Ayesha asks where did they go? Imran says I dont know.
Kabir brings Zara to Irfan’s house and drags her there. Salma is tensed. Kabir greets them. Irfan asks whats the matter? did you two fight? Kabir says ask her. irfan asks Zara. Zara says nothing, like always a man is trying to prove to a woman by grabbing her wrist that woman is weaker than a man but its not true Kabir Ahmed. Kabir glares at her and says you want to listen to the truth, I dont want to show my power on women but you are trying to become a leader than a daughter, wife or daughter in law. Zara says why? only men can be the leader? Kabir says fine, become the leader, do your politics but dont forget your religion. Zara says I didnt forget anything but you men, who have the right to make rules want to take all the rights from women because of one hadith, dont want them to even got to mosque. Irfan says I dont understand why you are fighting right now, we will talk about this in sharia board tomorrow. Kabir turns to leave and says fine, till this debate ends, Zara will stay here and I will stay on the otherside, do what you want, he slams door and leaves. Salma asks Zara to stop Kabir, Zara says I dont want to stop him, I accept his challenge, she goes to her room.
Kabir comes home. Ayesha is tensed and worried for him.
Zara looks around her room and recalls her moments with Kabir in their bedroom, she smiles, Ae dil hai mushkil plays, Zara smiles recalling their mornings, moments.
Kabir is in his room, he looks at an empty bed, he sees Zara’s nightie in cupboard and recalls how she wore it for him. He smiles looking at it.
Zara rushes to her phone. Kabir takes his phone and calls Zara but Zara is calling him too, both get busy tone. Kabir recalls Zara arguing with him that men dont allow rights to women. Zara recalls how Kabir blamed her for becoming a leader and left her at her parents house. Zara throws away her phone. Kabir puts his phone back, he throws her nightie in cupboard and goes to sleep.
Nilofar calls Ruksaar. Ruksaar says where were you? you know my body is here but my mind is there. Nilofar says you were waiting for a news and it happened today, you know Kabir threw Zara out of house. Ruksaar says really? Nilofar says yes, Ruksaar hears a noise and ends calls. Nilofar turns and sees Zeenat standing there, Nilofar asks if she can call her sister? Zeenat says yes, you are like a sister to me, she hugs her and says I remember Ruksaar seeing you. Nilofar says I will make everyone remember Ruksaar here, my face will show reflection of Ruksaar to these people.
Salma says to Irfan that so much happened infront of you, your daughter made a mess in city and said so much to her husband and you remained silent, either made her explain with love or scold her. Irfan says you are saying I should have told her that she is right but should remain silent. Salma says you are saying that Zara was right? Irfan says yes, whatever Zara said was totally true. Salma says your daughters walks on path which no one wants to walk on but I wont let her do what she wants, she leaves. Irfan says Zara cant bear wrongdoings so Salma you cant stop her.
In morning, Zara offers prayers. Salma comes to her and prays that God give some sense to my daughter, give power to her to choose the right path, bring love between her and her husband, save her home. Zara says God bless. Zara hugs Salma and says dont worry about home, my and Kabir’s relation is not that weak. Salma says try to understand, men look good praying in mosques and women in houses. Zara says I dont go against women praying in houses, I just want women to have same right as men to pray in mosques and then they can decide what they want, I will make sharia board agree to this today, she leaves. Salma says I wont let her go to sharia board.
Ayesha says to Kabir that I didnt expect this from you, you are educated, husband and wife have fights but you cant leave her at her home like this, you could have solved things with her, there are so many fights happening between you both. Kabir says its not that about, Zara’s mind is very clever but she gets very emotional and doesnt think before acting on her thoughts, thats all. Ayesha says its good that you understand your wife.
Kabir and Zara do their research for sharia board.
Irfan is getting ready for board meeting. Zara makes him wear his gown. Irfan says you are trying to bribe me? but I will do justice in board meeting. Zara says I want justice only, justice for women. Salma comes there and says you can leave later, there is still time for meeting, Irfan says some guests are company who are important so I have to go early, Zara says I will come later, Irfan nods and leaves. Zara goes to get ready. Salma looks on.
Scene 2
Kabir is leaving for board meeting, Nilofar stops him and says can I come with you? he asks why? she says today its about women in board meeting so I want to hear about their decision. Ayesha comes there and says if she wants to go then take her, Nilofar goes to get ready. Kabir is confused. Ayesha says its okay, whatever happens, you win or not, I want you to return with my daughter in law today. Kabir smiles and nods, he leaves with Nilofar.
Zara is getting ready to leave for board meeting but Salma comes to her room and locks it from outside. Zara sees her room’s door locked and tries to open it, she asks Salma why she locked it? Salma says I dont want you to go to board meeting, this case will be dismissed if you dont go then you wont argue with Kabir. Zara says you think that date will not be extended if I dont go today? if date gets extended then I will have to stay here for more days, do you want me to stay here for more days away from Kabir? Salma gets tensed and thinks about it, she unlocks the door and comes inside. Zara hugs her and says you should know that your daughter thinks ahead, driver will take my things, I will go back with Kabir. Salma says no bring Kabir here and have iftar here, Zara smiles, nods and leave
